Standard Chartered is working with shipyard owners to ensure they are providing adequate training, fair working hours, and safety measures, including protective clothing. One client, PHP, became the first shipyard in Bangladesh to meet the Hong Kong Convention – which are internationally recognised ship recycling standards.
